Salta

added oct9:
At last.... It was long, but Gustav managed to upload these three pictures (it's not much, but it took a lot of energy...).And hum... There was ont thing we forgot to take for this bike ride... Sunblock. Hopefully, we did not burn (not too badly anyway).

This pass is famous for the color of the surrounding mountains, ranging from green to flashy red, orange, etc etc....
Cafayate is also famous for its wine... Indeed we did make several stops in vineyards on the way back. We even bought a bottle of their nicest wine (that I have to say, was quite nice).

Due to technical problems (no usb, and a slow connection), we wont be able to publish this post now... :-(
We went yesterday to Cafayate, about 3 hours from Salta.
This afternoonm we'll be getting on the night bus to Clorinda, which is on the border of Paraguay. We should be in Asuncion tomorrow morning... And with some luck with a better conection!

jajajajajaja no usb in paraguay, no alternative current, no dual-core, no preemptive multitasking, no giga-bite ethernet. you're entering the crappiest country on earth (after cambodia perhaps) but if you go to conception say hello to my brothers resusitacion, scantification and procrastination.

Hi,
Just a question : you seem to prefer night busses... Is it for practical reasons (no room to find for one night, arriving in the morning is easier to find one for the next night, good memories of ealier night trips, night busses are cheaper, there are no day busses...). In these places the scenery must be fantastisc along some roads (or tracks...). Do you think you missed some of these landscapes ?
Or is it because it is too terrifying to see the mountain roads, and the way bus drivers take the curves above cliffs... ?
Please let us know !...
Best regards Jean-Yves

Night busses save a night at the hostel... Also, the last busride was 17 hours, so it was not always dark!!!

Hi,
I hope you got a comfortable seat for 17 hours...
;-)

Hi,
Great scenery once again. The multicolored mountains look a little bit like some in Iceland (Landmanalaugar...), but here is much more vegetation on your pictures !...
Continue to post your pictures, even if it is a real chore...
Best regards Jean-Yves
